Director of Nursing
We want you to thrive.
The Director of Nursing (DON) directs the clinical services provided to our communities. They are seasoned practitioners and have significant expertise in creating a soothing, informative, healing experience for our clients.
Responsibilities and Duties
Primary
Responding to client queries both before and after care is delivered
Directs the hiring, selection, performance reviews, and training of medical personnel.
Directs the hiring of medical personnel and coordinates orientation of new employees.
Coordinates with physicians, medical staff, and administrators to ensure that effective communication is maintained.
Coordinates orientation of new employees.
Investigates and resolves complaints. Engages the Administrative Coordinator as needed.
Minor

Evaluates nursing activities to ensure client care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
Coordinates client care between the business office and clinical areas.
Supervises activities to ensure appropriate client care, and monitors efficiency of service.
Observes nursing care and visits clients to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed and treatment is administered in accordance with physicians’ instructions and policies.
Interacts appropriately and effectively with all clients/others regardless of age or ethnic background.
Follows equipment safety guidelines.
Assists with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance and participates in emergency preparedness drills.
Ensures that Standard Universal Precautions, the National Client Safety Goals, and principles of aseptic and sterile technique are used appropriately.
Implements safe practices and provides knowledgeable guidance and evaluation of the environment of care management, including life safety (fire prevention), security, hazardous materials and waste management, emergency preparedness, infection control, the safe use of medical equipment, and utilities.
Participates in review and revision of the policies and procedures at the Surgery Center.
Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for clients and other miscellaneous duties as needed.
Providing insight into major trends in nursing care
DON works directly with clinical and administrative staff, providing education, procedural, and general oversight over the care delivered to our clients. They are actively engaged in the continuous improvement of our signature experience for our clients.
The DON works autonomously and reports to the Chief Medical Officer. His/her service is at the core of the service that Hydrate2O provides to our communities.
Key Competencies
Proficiency in aseptic technique
Excellent IV insertion skills
Basic computer skills including proficiency with email and common mobile apps
Physical Requirements
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Able to walk up and down stairs
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state. CPR required, advanced life support certification required. One year experience required intra-operative setting. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

Education and/or Experience
Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state. CPR required, advanced life support certification encouraged. Prior leadership experience preferred. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other skills and abilities
General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to integrative medical practice.
Physical Demands
Shall be physically able to stand, walk, and maintain varied body motions and positions for long periods of time. Demonstrates manual dexterity. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) that wish to graduate from conventional healthcare and practice the wonderful art of integrative medicine. As an infusionist, you will be challenged daily by patients of all backgrounds and comorbidities looking to address the root cause of their health issues. Ideal candidates love caring for others and are able to manage multiple simultaneous tasks at once. Daily duties include starting IV infusions and educating clients about the many options to treat their health conditions without pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or ionizing radiation.

Qualifications
